Things to come...

I have finally gathered all the combined DAC & Headphone amplifiers together for testing. I took the opportunity to get this photo and thought that I should put it up here as a teaser for things to come. The HRT iStreamer will not be part of this initial test because it's just a DAC and only for i-devices. The Yulong will also not be in this bulk review, for now it will mostly just be a benchmark machine, but I will get around to reviewing it properly eventually. The Epiphany machine is a bit of an odd-one-out for a few reasons: It's DAC and headphone amplifier boards are designed/made by blogger NwAvGuy and they are put together by a small company here in the UK. More importantly it doesn't run off USB power which makes it a little less portable but it still fits the main criteria. It's a very interesting machine on paper and I am very lucky to be testing it! A big thank you to Oliver from Epiphany Acoustics for allowing me to test one of the first batch.
